If you're ever curious about reading Scott's thoughts on writing for yourself, have a look at some of his letters to his daughter, Scottie, around 1937-1940 (or so). He gives her all sorts of advice on writing craft, as, for a time, Scottie aspired to become a writer too.

there is a definite generation gap here between the jonathan brandis crowd and the jtt crowd. it's kind of fascinating. i'm pretty sure you could successfully guess the ages of all of the posters to this thread within 18 months of the correct age if you were pop culture savvy enough.

I had crushes on TV girls and boys before I hit puberty. I was totally in love with Christy Brinkley when I was 10. Then I was really fixated on the nerdy middle kids on various tv sitcoms, especially Ben Seaver.

First it was Ash
Then Aaron Carter
Flash forward a few years, and it was Ricky Ullman from Phil of the Future
Next the Jonas Brothers, except not Kevin
And finally, my current obsession, Adam Lambert
