ah crepe, guys. i had some wrong info on the poster. i updated it, but one thing wrong was the email address. the organizer said it wasnt a problem, because she has BOTH emails registered already (go figure?), but i updated it anyways. sorry for the confusion.
thanks for the compliments though!

I'm glad I waited to email until this morning!
I offered any non-baking help I could. I wish I could bake, but it's a sad, sorry sight my "goods". Baked, that is. ![]()
I'd love to buy ingredients and help someone bake. Man the booth for a few hours. Or buy stuff from Wheatsville or Cheer Up Charlie, don't know if that's against the spirit of the event.
Either way, I hope to help out!

I'm a vegan who bakes in Austin! Do you think they still need some goods donated? I could crank out some cookies and/or muffins for a good cause.

I'm totally driving up for this. Houston is not too far from Austin, easily a day trip.
Very cool poster.

FittyFatty, Austin would love to have you. But FYI, there are two vegan bake sales happening in Houston. Here's a list of all the bake sales: http://www.veganbakesale.org/veganbakes … where.html

we could definitely still use vegan bakers for Austin on 6/27!! feel free to email me and let me know what you're thinking of baking. i'm preparing to send an email out soon to all the volunteers.
you can email either vegnartistnetwork@gmail.com or veganartistnetwork@gmail.com. i orginally made the first one so that the vegetarians wouldn't be intimidated by an all vegan group.
i'm checking both emails every day now just in case, so take your pick!
kirsten - i've posted the flier a few places and several people have commented on how cute it is. you really did an awesome job.

Thanks for the list!
I may still drive up to Austin next weekend. Houston vegan food sucks and there have been tons of Austin's droolworthy food photos posted here lately. Plus, it gives me an excuse to hoard CTate's pastries.

I am not 100% certain I will be in town that weekend so I can't commit to bake but if I'm not out of town I will definatly stop by to spend some money, those are two organizations that I am happy to give money to.
BTW do you know if either Food Not Bombs or Austin Pets Alive is looking for some help? I have been interested in doing some volunteer work on my free time.

Thanks for posting this! One of the Houston bake sales will be right by my apartment. Awesome!

I'm totally baked, gonna frost in the morn.

Yeah, I have no clue either. I'm bringing about 3 dozen cupcakes & a dozen brownies. I had to eat a few for quality control. That's overkill, I'm sure, but I needed the distraction.

hey! Thanks for the compliment.
I won't be selling any of my baked goods at the bakesale at all. I'm doing family stuff this weekend.
If you want to place an order let me know and I can ship you something but this weekend we are really busy.
I'd love to bake you an order though, let me know.

If you go to bouldin creek cafe while in town, you can pick up some of my vegan queso. They serve it with tamales, on tacos, the vegan bfast platter (el tipico) and as an appetiser with chips. We no longer bake for the cafe though; we only do private orders now. I allowed another baker to use some of my recipes only for bouldin creek (like cookies and danishes and some cakes). Things have changed a little between us but I think it's impossible to make my danishes taste different (they are a bit smaller now though) so if you're looking for danishes you can check those out at bouldin.

Ahh, that's too bad you didn't get to meet Wes! He's a cool guy, I'm glad we got to chat a lot. And his brownie was insanely good. Everyone freaked over his margarita cupcakes too.
As for you! WOW It was so funny when you walked in with your INCREDIBLE apples and everyone started hooting. Hilarious!
Can't wait to post pics. Lots of us got some but I won't have time to post until Monday.
So nice meeting all of you and can't wait to see you again at Titayas on the 11th!
