I want to seriously thank everyone that came out today and brought yummy food and super awesome conversation, I had so much fun and hope you did as well!! It was rad meeting new folks and I can't wait to organize another one for the summer (hopefully at someone's home to avoid the sweaty heat!).

Lori & Star

bakedgoods came through with her AMAZING cupcakes!!

There was so much more food than I took photos of (I was too busy stuffing my face). I still think it's hilarious that those people randomly came down to our potluck and gave us free vitamin water! If anyone else took photos, please post them! I know only 4 people from the potluck are on the PPK, but that's ok!

That's my friend Kevin. He's a computer nerd, so he probably got that shirt from some computer nerdery.
Thanks for putting the potluck together Ashley! It was a lot of fun! Here are a few more pics.

It was so awesome meeting you!! We will definitely have to hang out!
All the cupcakes, cake and pie kept me up until past 2am!! (which sucks when you have to be up at 6am) So worth it though.

This is fantastic! I've started talking up the idea of doing a vegan "supper club" sort of thing in East Atlanta over the past few days, and someone on the EAV Buzz posted a link to your event. Unfortunately it had already happened. Would you folks be interested in doing one in an East Atlanta location? Maybe Brownwood Park? I posted the idea for the vegan supper club last night, and have gotten six positive responses on the EAV Buzz forums. I plan on doing some local southeast Atlanta events anyhow, including some small potlucks, restaurant trips, and maybe lobbying restaurants in the EA Village to become more vegan-friendly. But it would be nice to organize a bigger event here, and might even jump start the more neighborhood focused stuff.

Whoa CREEPY....I was thinking of having the next potluck at Brownwood park towards the end of May! I've never been to the park but live pretty close-by (East Lake Terrace) and thought it'd be fun. Do they have a large pavilion there? We barely fit at Candler Park (plus I had to race someone to the tables and stake my claim before them) and I brought folding tables for food and for any overflow of folks.
I'm going to begin working on a flyer for the next event, so I'm trying to narrow down a park to hold it at. I'm going to Urban Gardener in EAV this weekend, I'll stop by and check out the park and see if it will work and drive-by some other larger ones.
I'm sure lots of folks would be interested in a supper club or restaurant meet-up...so many tasty vegan and vegan friendly restaurants in Atlanta!

I somehow missed this post. I don't know if you've checked out Brownwood Park yet, but the pavilion is a bit small. Depending on the weather, though,
the serving area could be expanded beyond the covered Pavilion (the Bike Rally is a very large event that spills out along the walkways).
I don't want to put too much of a happyface on it though. While I'd love for the event to be in Brownwood Park it's a small venue.
