This year I decided my husband and I would share a strictly vegan thanksgiving and head to my parents house for dessert. So I have a lot of pictures, as I am incapable of minimalism. Pardon the blur in the first picture. The foodstuffs were steaming my camera
Menu: Seitan Wellington with Marsala Gravy, Cranberry Chutney, Cornbread Stuffin', Green Bean Casserole, Maple Carrots, Garlic Smashed Potatoes with Kale and Macaroni and Cheese
Seitan Wellington (from Bryanna Clark Grogan's website) before it was cut. Oh and I totally dropped a third of it on the floor before it even made it into the oven...and my spleen cried

more Wellington
Cranberry Chutney (also from Bryanna Clark Grogan)...but I added A LOT more sugar

Cornbread Stuffin. This is actually my second attempt. I had to take the first horrible attempt and use my mother's recipe so it would taste good...and it rocked.

Green Bean Casserole without the gross fried onions

Garlic Mashed Potatoes with Kale (from How It All Vegan) but I just smashed the taters because I like it like that
Mac Daddy(V-con)

My plate

Close ups
Silk Nog spiked with a lil' Hazelnut Kahlua

Smlove Pie (V-con) that I took to the office Thanksgiving sans hazelnut liqueur

Smlove Pie for mi familia with the hazelnut liqueur. This made me do a happy dance (think Pops from The Wayans Brothers) dee dee dee

Seriously? Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake (Sinfully Vegan)...pumpkin cheesecake with a thin layer of pumpkin pie on top. SO GOOD...and effing expensive.
I'm Smlovin it...cheesecake and pie. Easily the reason I undoubtedly gained twenty pounds in a day

Hiding in the corner. This place is intimidating. All the talent was very scary to me. But I love this place. It frickin RULES.
And everybody who is willing to fly to the southside of San Antonio is welcome to my next vegan extravaganza, which will definitely be our third annual Festivus.
Bwahaha.
