i didn't ask her anything about bone char in the sugar.  so if that's a concern for you, feel free to send her another e-mail.
(also, i have no idea what they use in their sugar free varieties in place of sugar.  anybody know?  i don't want to bother her with another question.)

so yes, you potters.  feel free to make butterbeers to your heart's delight.

a few years ago, another vegan made a post on the non-vegan flavors. so it appears to line up wonderfully.

Re: vegan torani flavors

Awesome.  I had checked out ingredients and recently ordered 3 flavors.  Glad to have another confirmation that these are vegan.

A few weeks ago, I tried a iced strawberry blond soy latte while I was away.  Mainly, I tried it because it was so weird sounding----coffee and strawberry.

Honestly, it was one of the best coffee beverages I've had.  When I got home, I decided to try to duplicate it.  The flavor syrups finally arrived, but I haven't tried making one yet.

We use those at work, the sugar free ones contain splenda, which I've heard/read does testing on animals...

Re: vegan torani flavors

So which ones aren't vegan?  That'd be a much easier list to carry around, I think.

oh sorry. i didn't copy/paste because i thought it'd cause confusion with those who just scan lists.
this is what is at that linky that i posted at the bottom.

Torani Syrups
I just got off the phone with Torani customer service (they make those coffee/Italian soda flavor syrups, if you're unfamiliar), and I spoke with someone (who also happened to be vegan!) who let me know which flavor syrups have natural flavors derived from dairy.

Torani flavor syrups to avoid:

Almond Roca
Amaretto
Chocolate Biscotti
Creme Brulee
English Toffee
Macadamia Nut
Tiramisu

there may be more since the livejournal entry had been posted. (2 years ago)  i also thought it might have been a not-so great idea in case a new flavor is created that isn't vegan. it wouldn't be on the list, but we wouldn't know, since we'd have an outdated list.  at least with a positive list, we wouldn't have that problem.

This is fair.  Awesome!

Re: vegan torani flavors

i would just like to say adding an oz. of pumpkin spice to 10 or so oz. of soymilk is quite yumpy.

Sweet! This is very handy, thank you. And now I want butterbeer. I need to place a syrup order sometime soon. I like the sugar-free caramel in my lattes.

Re: vegan torani flavors

i checked their website, and they do have cinnamon listed.  but it's on neither of these lists.  so it might be a new non-vegan flavor since 2005, or it might be an oversight or something.

i'll crosscheck and post the flavors that are on neither list.  then if you're curious, you can ask them what makes them non-vegan.

Re: vegan torani flavors

Starbucks makes their own brand of syrups, they don't use Torani's.

FYI - I emailed Monin about their flavor syrups and they replied saying none of their flavors contain dairy.

It might be worth calling about that one, since it's also not on the "not-vegan" list.

I really wish they would come out with a sugar-free toasted walnut.......not that I would drink it straight from the bottle or anything....

The bottles are labeled now (for at least the last year) to list if natural flavors contain dairy or not.

Re: vegan torani flavors

ok wait, is it possible that there are two pumpkin spice flavors? because i definitely read the container of the one at the coffee shop i go to, and it wasn't vegan. i take pumpkin flavored coffee pretty seriously, so if there is a vegan version i'd love to know!
